Our group is led by a licensed therapist who will teach you about the importance of self-care and how to incorporate it into your daily life. You will also learn about the 5 categories of needs and how to meet them.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to connect with other women who are on a journey to self-care.
This group is a safe and supportive space where you can share your experiences, learn new skills, and grow as a person.
Psychotherapist Mellisa Gooden is the founder of A Good Place for Help. She has over 16 years of experience providing therapeutic care to others.
Her training and clinical experience include treating, children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She have served clients providing care in various settings such as schools, substance abuse treatment centers, outpatient clinics, non-for-profit agencies, private practice, and in-home.
She uses an individualized therapeutic approach that values each client’s strength and uniqueness. She is truthful, kindhearted, and supportive which allows for an open, safe, and peaceful counseling experience.
Some areas of specialty include anxiety, trauma, racial trauma, PTSD, depression, self-care, self-esteem, stress management, anger management children/adolescent behavioral issues, parenting, family conflict, relationship problems, marriage/couples counseling, life, and wellness coaching.
